Indonesia / Delivery Riders & Platform

Delivery Riders and a Platform for a Coffee Chain

We supplied electric motorcycles with VCU, battery-swapping equipment, a Merchant Operation System and Rider's App, alongside a delivery platform for a coffee chain in Indonesia. Existing rental users gain another source of work. Riders using their own transport or renting elsewhere can also join the delivery network.

Project Background

Connect Store Orders With Available Riders

The coffee chain wanted a way to deliver orders received through its own sales channels without paying the high sales commissions charged by local food-delivery marketplaces. The rental operator already had riders looking for additional work.

We brought the rider network and delivery platform together. The coffee chain continues to handle purchases through its existing channels; stores create delivery tasks on the platform after receiving an order. Merchants pay for the delivery service, rather than routing those sales through a food-ordering marketplace.

Project Scope

What We Provided

The supplied equipment, Merchant Operation System and Rider's App support the operator's own rental business. The software is customized for the Indonesian market and its rental and battery-swapping model. The delivery platform also accepts riders using transport sourced elsewhere.

Electric Motorcycles With VCU
Complete electric motorcycles with smart control hardware (VCU) for the operator's rental fleet.
Battery-Swapping Cabinets
Cabinets where riders using the operator's electric motorcycles can exchange depleted batteries for charged ones.
Rider's App
Customized for the Indonesian rental and battery-swapping model, so riders can manage their electric motorcycle rental and battery swaps.
Merchant Operation System
Customized for the operator's rental business, with rental-management modules matched to its operating model.
Delivery Service Platform
A platform for merchant delivery tasks and rider dispatch, with delivery tools in a customized Rider's App and records of delivery evidence and earnings.

Open Rider Network

Open Participation, With Benefits for Rental Users

Orders are available to riders beyond the operator's existing rental customers. Riders can join with their own transport or with transport sourced elsewhere, giving the merchant access to a wider pool of delivery capacity.

The delivery platform is operated alongside the rental business. Under the operator's policy, riders using its rental electric motorcycles can receive preferential dispatch priority or a lower rider platform commission. These incentives give other riders a reason to consider the rental offer while keeping participation open.

For existing rental users, delivery adds another source of work. For the rental operator, that connection supports ongoing rentals and helps attract new customers. Order availability and earnings still depend on delivery demand and the rider's participation.

Merchant Workflow

From a Store Order to a Delivery Task

Store staff create a delivery task in the merchant interface. Nearby online riders receive the task through the Rider's App and can accept it. The rider collects the order, completes the delivery and records the handover; the platform keeps the delivery status and income record.

Stores can follow their orders in one list. A browser-based tracking link lets the customer check delivery progress without installing an App. The platform handles delivery; the coffee chain keeps its own purchasing process.

Rider's App / Delivery

Carry Out Deliveries and Check Earnings

The Rider's App used for delivery brings the task and its actions into one mobile view. Riders can navigate to the destination, contact the store or recipient, report a problem and submit delivery evidence.

Income and settlement records give riders a way to review the work they have completed, the applicable deductions and payment information. The screens below show the task and settlement workflows; private records, amounts and rates are concealed.

Multi-Store Operations

Follow Delivery Activity Across Stores

The Delivery Service Platform brings store orders and rider activity into a shared operating view. Staff can review delivery status and open individual records when an order needs attention, rather than collecting updates separately from each rider.

Delivery Records

Keep the Source Order and Handover Evidence Together

The order detail view holds the source order image alongside pickup and delivery evidence. This gives staff records to review when checking what was collected and how the delivery was completed.

In the screenshot below, the original order image, evidence photos and locations are fully covered because they contain brand labels, private information or identifiable premises.

Benefits for Each Participant

Merchant Deliveries Support the Rental Business

For the Coffee Chain

The chain gains a delivery channel with lower service fees for its own orders and access to an open rider network. It can arrange delivery without paying marketplace sales commissions on those orders.

For Riders

Coffee deliveries add an income source. Rental users can also benefit from the operator's dispatch or commission policy, while riders using other transport remain able to participate.

For the Rental Operator

More work opportunities help rental customers sustain their income and ongoing rentals. The same benefits give other riders an additional reason to choose the operator's electric motorcycles.
